Makes 4 servings
1 cup soaked semolina (rava)
2 tbsp freshly grated coconut
1/4 cup melted jaggery (gur)
1 banana , mashed
1 tsp powdered cardamoms
2 tbsp crushed cashewnuts (kaju)
1/2 cup mashed paneer (cottage cheese)
ghee for greasing
blanched and slivered pistachios
Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and mix well to make a thick batter which is little flowy and creamy.
Keep aside for 30 minutes.
Heat the appe mould and add ghee in each circle.
Pour the mixture into each one and put the ghee on top again. Cover and cook till golden brown from one side.
Turn and cook again till golden brown.
