Curry leaves 2 cups
Bengal gram (chana) roasted 1/4 cup
Black peppercorns 20-25
Tamarind ball marble sized
Salt to taste
Step 1: Roast curry leaves, gram, peppercorns and tamarind one by one till dry and crisp. Mix well. Set is aside to cool.
Step 2: Once cooled, transfer into the jar of a mixer and grind to a powder. Add salt and mix well.
Step 3: Cool completely and store in an airtight container. Tastes wonderful with hot steamed rice and ghee.
